Teeter Totter on Foam Roller
This exercise is designed to increase ROM in dorsiflexion and plantar flexion of the ankles.
↑ Dorsiflexion:
- Place roller in front of the lower shin, stacking the ribs, shoulders and head over the pelvis
- Roll from ankle to ankle, moving the spine like a wind shield wiper
- Teeter to one hand, allowing the weight to fall over one ankle and then shift the weight to the other hand and ankle
- Maintain ribs over pelvis throughout the exercise
- Perform up to 2 minutes as tolerated
↑ Plantarflexion:
- Repeat the same sequence with foam roller placed above the heel
