Teeter Totter on Foam Roller

This exercise is designed to increase ROM in dorsiflexion and plantar flexion of the ankles.

↑ Dorsiflexion:

  1. Place roller in front of the lower shin, stacking the ribs, shoulders and head over the pelvis
  2. Roll from ankle to ankle, moving the spine like a wind shield wiper
  3. Teeter to one hand, allowing the weight to fall over one ankle and then shift the weight to the other hand and ankle
  4. Maintain ribs over pelvis throughout the exercise
  5. Perform up to 2 minutes as tolerated

  1. Repeat the same sequence with foam roller placed above the heel
